As I think I have stated previously, I love my Trangia teapots, but also the Caldera cone systems and even my woodburning Bushbuddy! So, What I need to do to put it all together is take some measurements then call Trail Designs and see if they have a stock Cone that will fit. The plan I originally had was to use the Trangia Mini pot support to hold the teapot and burner, then match a Cone that is big enough to act as an effective windscreen.

So with measurements and vision, I sent a note to Trail Designs and almost immediately received a reply from Rand Lindsly, Trail Designs owner, that they could do better than that. Just send us the teapots, and they would create a system. Was I surprised? Very. To get a response from a manufacturer is rare, then to suggest a custom application? Such random acts of excellent customer service will pay dividends for Rand and his crew. I 'm not quite the high roller to pay those dividends, but the teapots were in a box with labels to Trail Designs that night!
